Key Features
- Efficient Scheduling & Lead Matching
RevenueHero excels at automating the scheduling process, ensuring that prospects are connected with the right sales reps based on any custom criteria you can think of. This automation reduces manual lead assignment and helps sales teams focus on engaging the most qualified prospects.
- Multi-Rep Booking
A standout feature is RevenueHero's ability to check the availability of multiple team members simultaneously, ensuring optimal meeting times across sales teams. This capability is particularly valuable for larger organizations needing to manage multiple calendars efficiently. Based on assignment determined in the workflow, you can also change the ownership in the CRM.
- Intelligent Round-Robin Assignments
RevenueHero offers a balanced round-robin assignment system, ensuring that meetings are distributed evenly among sales reps. This feature helps prevent reps from being overloaded while maintaining a steady flow of meetings. One key way of accomplishing the balance is that reps can give feedback in Slack when a meeting is a no-show. This is recorded and used to help get them moved back up in the round-robin.
- Proactive Notifications for Admins
The platform integrates proactive communication for admin users, notifying them of authorization issues with platforms like Google Calendar, Zoom, or Outlook. This ensures that scheduling errors are minimized, keeping operations running smoothly.
- Customization without Complexity
RevenueHero offers a wide array of customization options, allowing users to tailor the booking experience to fit their unique business needs. Despite these options, users with simpler needs can rely on default settings, making the platform accessible without being overwhelming.
How it Fits into the Stack:
- The platform's success largely depends on how well it integrates with a company’s current tools and systems. For example, they suggest allowing your current workflows in the CRM to create leads, and handle conversion. Their platform isn't the place to do that right now, at least not until the new features are released next year.
- RevenueHero can leverage on-form integrations for enrichment with popular tools like Apollo. They also offer their own enrichment to reduce spam and confirm a lead's location based on IP lookup.
- Many customers are using more than one routing tool right now because of the "booking-only" aspect and so for certain forms, you'd map them to RevenueHero and exclude them from a different router.
- Something extremely cool - you can use their features for outbound bookings. An SDR can send a prospect through the flow and follow all of the same rules, matching, customization to get their meeting booked with an AE. This seems like a game changer for me, because most companies that I know use a spreadsheet to track which outbound meetings are being worked and assigned. This will come in handy if outbound uses a round robin, but also if your account assignment follows detailed rules for multi-product or multi-region.
Other Considerations
- Bugs & Support: While the platform is still relatively new (launched in July 2022) and has encountered some bugs, customer support is responsive, and issues are typically resolved quickly.
- Customer Support: RevenueHero's customer support receives a lot of positive feedback, particularly for the hands-on assistance provided during onboarding and issue resolution.
- Pricing: The platform is competitively priced, often lower than competitors. However, as more features are added, it will be important to monitor how this affects pricing.
- Roadmap: An update expected in Q1 will introduce more comprehensive lead routing and management features, which could allow businesses currently using dual tools (like LeanData for routing and RevenueHero for scheduling) to consolidate onto a single platform. This will position RevenueHero as a more complete competitor to tools like LeanData and Chili Piper.
Final Thoughts
RevenueHero is currently operating in a narrow niche, meeting booking — but they have gone extremely deep in functionality. Nearly any customization is possible and I've seen the tool called "Chili Piper on steroids". The ability to handle complexity is impressive.
While they don't yet cover the entire lead lifecycle, all of this depth can be directly applied to "total lead routing" as the platform evolves to handle full lead creation and routing. Keep an eye on this one... it may become a viable single-platform solution for businesses currently using multiple tools for these tasks.
