Infer Brings Predictive AI to the CRM

Introduction to Infer

Founded in 2022, Infer brings the power of data science and AI to Revenue Operations teams. By leveraging artificial intelligence, Infer helps companies analyze performance and predict future outcomes. With robust read and write integration to various data sources—including CRM platforms, ad platforms, email, and data warehouses—Infer enables users to extract insights and take action effectively. While Infer is primarily designed for Revenue Operations professionals, its capabilities also benefit data analytics teams through machine learning models that facilitate in-depth root cause analysis.


Users get impactful insights

Infer's AI-powered assistant allows users to swiftly scan datasets and generate actionable insights. The platform highlights key findings, provides evidence, and offers a detailed output table to review data source specifics. Users like the platform's simple setup and seamless integration, especially when connecting directly to modeled data in BigQuery. This makes it easy to test new models and utilize pipeline and reverse ETL functionality, syncing model results directly into CRM platforms like HubSpot for immediate action.


Infer also does a good job of surfacing explanations for predictions directly within CRMs, enabling users to understand the key factors behind each prediction. This transparency provides end users with actionable insights, allowing them to make informed decisions. None of us want "black box" AI because we can't explain it. 


Initially, many users adopted Infer for AI-driven lead scoring, but quickly expanded their use to include marketing deal influence, deal scoring, forecasting, and churn risk predictions. The ability to integrate Infer’s real-time AI forecasting package directly into CRMs adds scientific rigor to sales forecasts, offering insights into projected close dates, deal amounts, and probabilities based on historical trends and seasonality.


Beyond KPI visualization, Infer provides detailed natural language explanations for why a particular KPI changed within a given time frame, making root cause analysis straightforward and accessible.

Users consistently praise the Infer team for its outstanding service, from the sales process through implementation. The attentive support and genuine care for client success contribute to an excellent user experience.


Areas of Opportunity

To get even more impact, Infer users told us they want to see more:

  1. More robust reporting and metrics functionality – While Infer’s root-cause analysis is valuable, users would benefit from more comprehensive insights beyond individual metrics, allowing for a holistic view of performance. Additional customization for widgets and filters would also enhance the user experience.
  2. Pricing for smaller businesses – Infer is on the pricier side, making it difficult for smaller companies with lower data volumes to justify the ROI. 
  3. Greater granularity in lead scoring – Users expressed interest in more detailed explanations at the lead level to further improve the value of predictive lead scoring.
  4. Ease of use for non-technical users – Users without SQL or data analytics chops might struggle with further customization or more detailed models. 


The Future is Predictable

While no platform can offer a true crystal ball, Infer's powerful AI-driven tools make predicting the future of sales and marketing more accessible and accurate. 


Infer is an excellent option for companies aiming to advance their lead scoring and predictive analytics. Its high accuracy and seamless integration with major CRM and marketing platforms make it a go-to solution for mid-sized to large businesses handling high lead volumes.

While there is room for improvement in reporting and granularity of scoring, Infer’s impact on sales productivity and marketing efficiency is clear. For teams overwhelmed by lead volume or struggling with prioritization, Infer is a compelling option to consider.
